Giving Back
At Inland Sea Wines we know that the strength of a small urban winery lies in its ties to the community. With handcrafted wines made from Missouri grown grapes as well as the country's best known varietals, we strive for a level of quality that will bring satisfaction to our customers and leave their experience just a little richer than before we came together.
But our commitment to the community extends beyond even our customers and the wines that we create. That is why Inland Sea Wines devotes 1% of all sales to a pair of charitable organizations that go a long way in making the world a better place.
The Nature Conservancy is helping to preserve those inland seas that inspired our winery's name. Visiting the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Kansas is as close as one can come to that original vision of a sea of grass that greeted early settlers and inhabitants, and this nearly 11,000 acre tract was protected through the Nature Conservancy's dedication to preserving millions of acres of natural habitat around the world.
The Batten Disease Support and Research Association is devoted to providing support and research for families of children and young adults with this neurological degenerative disorder. By striving to help victims and their families lead normal lives the BDSRA has been helping families since 1986. We'd like to give special consideration to Maddie Zellmer and her parents, Todd and our legal counsel, Kim. We honor Maddie and her brave struggles with this debilitating disease.
